Jodhpur. Have you ever eaten a cup of tea along with drinking tea? If not, then this news will surprise you. There is a tea shop in Jodhpur, where you can eat the same cup after drinking tea. Eco friendly tea made in Jodhpur has become the center of attraction these days.

There is an eco-friendly tea shop just outside Jal Bhawan in Basni, Jodhpur. Jitendra Rathod of Jetivas village is running this shop. Jitendra Rathod has studied till 12th and his age is 23 years. His father Mangilal Rathod does farming.

Jitendra says that he is alert all the time to give the message of environmental awareness. When he started this tea cabin, he also started a campaign to save the environment. Jitendra says that drinking tea in paper cups is injurious to health. Jitendra found an alternative and started ordering cups made of maida and flour from Udaipur.

A cup of white flour is costlier than paper
Jitendra says that he gets this cup for around Rs.4. On the other hand, paper cups are available for a few paise only. But he used only eco-friendly cups, so that people’s health is not played with. Jitendra Saran did not increase the price of his tea even after getting a cup for Rs.4 and started selling tea for just Rs.10.

Do not pack tea in plastic
Jitendra explains that paper cups cause many diseases and also pollute the environment when thrown away. That’s why, they started using eco friendly cups. Which customers can easily eat after drinking tea. If no customer eats it then even stray animals can eat it comfortably. Which is not harmful for them. Jitendra never gives tea packed in a plastic bag. If the tea is to be taken away, he gives his kettle for it.

Makes 250-300 cups per day
Jitendra makes people drink 250 to 300 teas daily in eco friendly cups. It is said that by using this cup, they suffer a loss of up to Rs 500 daily, but still they use eco-friendly cups. They give their tea for only 10 rupees. Jitendra told that his aim is to give the message of awareness and save the environment. On the other hand, on his birthday, he presents a plant to his friends, so that he can play an important role in saving the environment by planting saplings.
